It's hard to believe there's less than two weeks until Christmas! The kids are getting more and more excited and we think it's starting to sink in a little more for the kids, at least for Hayden!
Our wonderful Christmas present from so many family members came early this year for Jonathan and I - our new camera!! Which we want to thank everyone so much for!! We've done a lot of experimenting with it so far and have lots of pictures to share from what the kids have been up to these past few months leading up to Christmas!
The Saturday morning we finally brought our camera out of the box, we decided that our old camera (which only functions on one setting and takes very yellow pictures!) would be given to our very eager photographer in the family!
Hayden had so much fun taking pictures that morning, that it occupied him a good two hours as he took pictures of everything and everyone he could!
So it's been a lot of fun taking pictures of the kids these past few weeks, especially now that we have the ability to take pictures of the kids in the exact moment we want with the fast shutter speed on the camera! No more missed photo opportunities!!
It's been amazing to us how much more photogenic the kids are! Not sure what it is, but Hayden and Aubrey's smiles are captured so beautifully on these photos!
Aubrey's bewildered look on her face was captured quite a number of times as she was quite curious about the big lens that was moving in and out on it's own towards her. And Hayden was often caught in a dazed look as he stared into the lens that morning . . .
They eventually got used to it and the smiles starting flowing after that . . .
Hayden, enjoying his gingerbread man . . .
Aubrey, also enjoying her gingerbread man, mostly the icing though . . .
yes, definitely the icing . . .
And this was a morning after a big snowfall the day before, we took the kids to a small tobogganing hill just behind our house.
I was nervous Aubrey wouldn't dare go down the hill and cling to me the whole time, but no . . . definitely was not an issue!
A thrill seeker in the making!
Hayden had it mastered pretty quick and we realized he was pretty much ready for the bigger tobogganing hill at the lake.
Fun times!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!
We'll keep everyone updated with Christmas photos shortly after Christmas!
Until next time . . .
